In 2020, TXS was again an integral part of the annual gathering of securitisation market professionals and managers. We were represented at this year's special TSI Congress as a sponsor with an information stand in Berlin and as workshop and panel participants. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the congress was held in hybrid form for the first time. Participants were able to attend meetings and discussions on site or to connect online worldwide.
Around 650 registered participants - 180 of them onsite - attended the congress, which was held under the motto "Asset Based Finance 4.0 - Financing in Transition" at the beginning of October. For two days, people from politics, supervisory authorities and banks discussed current topics and trends in the industry with investors and other market participants. Of course, the current COVID 19 pandemic and its impact on the securitisation market was a central topic this year.
Despite the lower number of participants on the congress site itself compared to previous years, TXS participants looked back on interesting, communicative days in Berlin and drew a positive conclusion.
TSI plans to hold the TSI Congress "onsite & globally online" again next year, 2021.
